The owners of a compact studio apartment on Fire Island were looking to maximize the flexibilty of their small footprint (350 sf).  This design incorparates a new murphy bed and millwork for increased storage and floorspace during the day or for small gatherings, while peninsula which can be rotated 90 degrees allowing for murphy bed to drop comfortably at night.
